Privacy Policy — Nparla
Last updated: June 14, 2026
At rocket4ce we designed Nparla so your privacy is the default. This Policy explains what data is processed (very little) and how.
1. Privacy by design
Speech recognition, translation and voice synthesis all run locally on your Apple Silicon device.
2. What data we process
Nparla is built to work without collecting personal data. Specifically:
- Audio and text of your conversations: processed locally and never transmitted or stored by us.
- Voice models and voice clones: kept on your Mac, under your control.
- No accounts: you don't need to sign up to use Nparla.
3. What we DON'T do
- We don't sell or share your data.
- We don't show ads or profile you.
- We don't access the contents of your meetings.
4. System permissions
To work, Nparla requests certain macOS permissions, used only locally:
- Microphone: to hear your voice and translate it.
- Speech recognition: to transcribe what you say.
- System audio capture: to understand the person you're talking with.
- You can revoke these permissions in System Settings whenever you like.
5. App Store and Apple
Downloading, purchase and billing all happen through the Mac App Store. The handling of that data is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
6. Local history
If you save the history of your sessions, it is stored only on your Mac. You can delete it at any time from within the application.
7. Minors
Nparla is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes to this policy
If we update this Policy, we will post the new version on this page with its date.
